Time for a new set of rubber - etyres

I have come to that time when I require to install a set of new tyres to my car. Not a good time of year as my wallet has already been raided for Christmas. []

They have lasted 24,000 miles including the long blast to and around Corsica and back this September.

I have looked around and the best that I can get fitted locally is:
225/40ZR18 Michelin N1 @ £150 each
265/35ZR18 Michelin N1 @ £199 each

Can anyone do much better than this including installation and near Aberdeen?

Has anyone used etyres? They come and fit new tyres anywhere; home, office etc. The prices are on a par with Blackcircles who get a local company to install them. I do want to make sure they are installed correctly and wondered if etyre had a good reputation.

I wish everyone a really good time over the festive period.

Personally, I prefer the Pirelli P Zero Rosso's.

Less noise, more grip but do not last as long.

Sillet tyres, every time.

I think it pays to make a few calls and ask the manager of the fitting outfit if they'd do you a deal. If it's a quiet week then they may offer you something.

There is a Costco in Aberdeen, and I've heard at some time(s) during the year they do very good offers on Michelins, if you're a member, or can get membership you'll get better prices than all of those quoted already.

Thanks Mark, I am running the Pirelli's at the moment and I agree with you. I may fit the Pirelli's again. They are also cheaper than the Michelin tyres. I will phone Sillets and see what they are offering.

Update: I phoned Sillets and they are offering the front Michelin N1's for £138 each and the rears for £190 with new valve and balanced. That's £40 cheaper / set than anywhere else I have been quoted.

Kwik fit have 25% off for four at present - might be worth a shout but probably work out about the same as you already have
