time for 'in production' to delivery

Hi , I ordered my C4s in November and was promised that the car would be available to me in early March. I still don't have a delivery date. I'm told that the car is 'in production' at the moment. Does any one have a good idea as to how long I should have to wait now.?

Also, does anyone know if having Porsche's latest security category five device will save on my insurance or any insurance companies to go to who will give me a better quote because I have it fitted.

Can't wait for the car though.

Well my car took 2 weeks from 'build date' to delivery to the dealers - so if you've ordered a March deliver car, it should have been built by now, and in the process of being shipped over the the UK.

I doubt you'll get any benefit on the insurance for having the VTS system fitted compared with any other Cat 5 system - the Porsche system is allegedly identical to the Cobra system, but about 15% more expensive!

The obvious benefit of having the Porsche VTS system is that there won't be any warranty problems if something goes wrong (either with the system itself, or with the electrics on the car) down the line. That's the reason I was happy to pay the extra for the Porsche system on my C4S.
