Time for me to leave.

Well, finally sold my C4S.
I decided to sell the car for a number of reasons. First, although the car is an absolute dream to drive, I found that the product maybe a little too polished for its own good. In this I mean, that unless you are driving the car to its limits (and over 5k RPM for it to make that beautiful sound), it just simply wasnt entertaining enough.
Great car, but just not for me. I nearly went for a Gallardo, but to be honest, the market is on its arse at the moment, and I'll wait until I sink big bucks into a car again.
The thing that has shocked me the most is residuals, I lost so much money in 7 months, it pains me to think about it. The car is without doubt a victim of its own success on that one, too many made.

Hi Jon. I can see that you dropped the price like a stone from £68k to £63.5k. Did you get what you wanted? Did you sell the car privately or to the trade? (No. Please, just say no.) I'm interested as I'm about to sell mine privately.

Regards,

Adrian.

Its a shame the car didn't float your boat... but for some it doesn't,
I agree with many of your comments above, the whole sports car thing is getting a knocking, not a good time for anyone selling...

However as far as depreciation goes its never going to be a happy one.. but even so, we all know the worst time to trade in is less than 12 month old.. and at 7 months..[&:] it was always going to hurt [:(]

Maybe a time to sit it out and watch the markets.. damn and summers coming soon [;)]

I just expected less of a hit on residuals.
No, I didnt get what I wanted for the car, sold it privately. I think anyone that is coming to sell these cars is in for a nasty surprise.
Book price for my car was 59k, shocking. Managed a bit more than that in the sale.
Warranty was going to need renewing this year, as well. I just couldnt sit and watch the thing drop anymore, soul destroying.

Jon, I have to say that it sounds like an absolute bastard of a situation. Still, onwards and upwards; climb ever mountain, ford every stream and what have you...?
