Well, after 6.5 years of very happy 996 ownership - the longest I've ever kept a car - it's time for an upgrade.
I'm picking up a 997.1 C2S on Monday... Seal Grey, with Sport Design alloys, Sports Seats, Sports Chrono and the all important PSE. It's also had a rebuilt Hartech engine and will remain on the Hartech maintenance scheme, so fingers crossed it will be reliable as the 996 has been!
My 3.4 996 C2 will be up for sale from next week, once it's had its major service done, 81,000 miles, manual, Arctic silver with black interior, if anyone is interested - there's lots of history on it here under the running reports. I'll get an advert sorted soon, but I'm more interested in hassle-free quick sale than extracting the last £.
I'll still be sad to see it go after all the fun we've had together having taking it abroad 7 times: Norway twice, Italy twice, Switzerland, Germany and France, over the years.
A big thanks to everyone on this forum, especially Richard for his dedication and knowledge.
Martin.
