Timing belt Replacement

I've got a 944 (obviously I suppose) 1987 with the 8valve 2.5 litre engine. I was wondering if there are people on here who have done their own timing belt replacement and if so, are there any wrinkles to know that make the job easier and any potential pitfalls. I believe that Paul has a couple of the tension checking tools available for loan to club members from an earlier article in Porsche Post which I would envisage trying to obtain before undertaking the job. Thanks.
