Timing belt tensioning tool and flywheel lock

Am I right in thinking there are tools available for club members so I can swap over the timing belt and retension?

If so who is the custodian of these loan tools?

:0). Thanks in advance.

Hi Charles,

The office deal with the loan tools, so a call to them will sort you out.

I've not heard of either of these for the 928, but could well be wrong. There's certainly two of the timing belt tools for the 944, don't know if it's the same one?

Otherwise, a call to David Hemmings should clarify.

Paul I am sure I read in PP that these had been borrowed only twice in last couple of years so sure they are available.

I'll phone HQ and ask.

There's no central register for the Register Secretaries to recommend what is available: it's a great big hole in the Club's resources!

Let me know how you get on?

Paul,

The club office has a couple of sets of 928 timing belt tools.

regards,

charles
Excellent!

Can we get that stickied on the 928 forum? Mentioned in the Porsche Post column?

Get on to your register Secretary and promote it. The 944 timing belt tool has been one of the great successes, so please talk to David Hemmings and ask him to support the tools and the forum?
