Tin Wear - Where Can I get Some?

Hey guys. Well my baby (911 SC 1982) is still off the road. A very long story []which I will not bore you all with. Needless to say I have 6 new pistons and cylinders etc[:)]. The current problem is that as part of the re-build we were wanting to replace the tin wear (as the old stuff was a bit worst to wear). Unfortunately Euro parts and Design 911 say that some parts are no longer available[:(]. I am currently contacting Pelican parts to see if I can get it in the USA and ship it over.

Has anyone else had problems getting Tin Wear or does anyone know where to get it (preferably cheaply).

We are hoping to put it all together in the next week (with nice pistons, valve angle jobs etc etc etc) or so but need the Tin Wear before we can finish.

Cheers

Don't take anything Design911 says as definitive! Look in the 911 Parts pdf available here. If you can't get some of the parts, breakers may be able to help you out.

Thanks for this. Have just called him and he is having a look. We have replaced all the tinwear with new, however there are 2 parts now on backorder in Germany so I am looking for alternative sources. Once I find these then we will be ready to re-install the engine. only taken four months so far.
