Tip locking in 3rd gear

Made a turn in the road using reverse and as i pulled away the box was in 3rd gear (tiptronic)

I tried everything but it wouldn't change, all i could get was 3rd and reverse.

I wasn't to far from home (20 mins) so i made a slow journey back.

When i got back i turned off and then back on the engine, it reset its self and 500 miles later it's not happened again.

Anyone had or heard of the same thing.

Used to happen to me when I would select 'N' and coast to traffic lights. When I selected 'D' again it would stick in third until I switched off and on again. Did you do that?
 
I didn't, but i may have done the "forward, reverse, forward, reverse" thing quicker than normal.

I'm guessing it's just a little bug, just hope it doesn't happen too often.
