Tip to manual ?.

There's a few cheapish tiptronic 968s for sale, how much of a task would it be to convert one to manual , are we talking a thousand or thousands ?. and would a 944 turbo gearbox fit.
 
It all depends if your doing the work yourself...OR getting a garage to do it...
Either way i dont think itd be worth doing....
Put it this way a 968 gearbox will cost you the thick end of £750-£1000 to start with + Flywheel + clutch + pedal box , clutch hydraulics, interior trim,,, different ECU etc etc etc ....Its starting to add up LOTS ££££££££££££££....
 
Hadn't considered the ECU was different, I would do it myself but seems as you say it's hardly worth it.
 
Oh and the dashboard binnacle is different too.....Its getting expensive.££££££££££££££££ Just buy manual....
 
Yep, I'd probably get bored with it half way through the conversion and bung it in my garage for years.
