Tip v Manual - Desireability

Getting closer to buying a C4s - interesting comment made to me today that Tip gearbox cars are more saleable than manual gearbox cars and much preferred. Curious to see if that is the case.

all depends really, on what someone wants. 70% of the turbos (996) that have been made were tiptronic boxes.

All i would say is go with what you prefer, try both out and then see, after all there will always be a buyer for the right car.

Hope this helps

Excellent advice. I opted for the Tiptronic and love it but you need to drive both and then make up your mind.

All the best

Hi Bal,

All excellent advice and will largely depending on what you feel more comfortable with and your use (town / motorway / track etc..)

There are a couple of threads going back where comparisons about resale value, reliability (RMS etc.) have been discussed.....

Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback and links. I did laugh when I saw one of the links had been started by me! I clearly had not bought a car since then for various reasons, but was close to having a C4s Cabrio today (Manual), unfortunately it fell through....
