Anyone know where I can get a Tiptronic Gear Surround Part Number 944 552 169 00 1DB. Now obsolete with Porsche.

Ebay Eu search rather than UK, I've seen them a few times. It may be worth getting the full selector mechanism as there is a known weakness, the microswitch that selects manual mode has a cranked operating arm that breaks where it's cranked - and again is NLA anywhere. We know the original manufacturer (Kessling De) but would have to order about 14 of them to meet their minimum 200Eurosovs order value - and the order would have to come from a busines not an individual. Lots of info re this on the Porsche968uk forum.

Just Googled the part number and found this from the French outfit I bought parts from a few months ago :

Strange thing is this shows down to 1 on the auto part of the gate, where mine only goes down to 2, so are you sure that's the correct part number?

if its not broken try a coat or two of Polytrol, if its discolured

Ones I've seen before, it's the numbers etc that go AWOL, not sure how you could replace those even if you get the rest of the surround looking good.

They are screen printed originally, so the best solution would be transfers like used on your old Airfix models
