tiptronic fill

hi, I hope no one falls about laughing at what I am about to ask advice on. I was wondering if anyone would think it would be possible to fill my tiptronic gearbox with atf using a car washer pump and some tubing assuming that the pump was strong enough to pump the atf viscosity? thanks ray.

In a word: no. ATF will destroy the seals on the pump in no time & I doubt it would be able to pump ATF all that well in the first place.

Buy the right tool for the job:

Job jobbed.

What I have done in the past, amittedy on my little Citroen AX gti was to use my Gunsons eazi-bleed kit, and the compressor from my air brush, and that made it the work of about five minutes to completely reffill after a drive shaft change, and that is using hypoy 80/90/. If on the other hand you are just talking a top up then an oil syringe is the best for small volumes.
Re seals, I used an aftermarket screen-wash pump to drain out 5 gallons of diesel from the wifes old Ax after she put diesel in by mistake. Didn't seem to affect it, but I don't know what's in ATf.

You have to be very careful getting the level right, and it has to be filled with the enging idling, in Park, with the ATF temperature between 30°C and 45°C. Therefore, you need something to measure the ATF temperature. Ususlly done with a PST2, PIWIS, or Durametric tester. If you need the instructions, drop me an email.
