Just purchased a 2000 model tiptronic with factory fitted gt3 kit, it's a superb looking machine.
How often should the gearbox oil be changed? And which oil would you recommend?
cheers Baz

The specified interval is 96,000 miles, but IMO (and others) it benefits from changing it at 50-60,000.

What spec? It is all here: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=230743 [;)] [;)]

If you google Esso LT71141, there are suppliers that sell it in 12 litre quantities that is still cheaper than buying it by the litre to a total of 5 litres from OPC. The last time I bought 2 gallons it cost me £75 inc p&p. I think OPC sell a litre for £15-17 + vat. Besides, although Porsche now state that the Pentosin ATF1 is compatible with the Esso LT71141, the ZF boxes were designed to use the Esso ATF and up till last year it was the only recommended ATF for the early ZF boxes. I stuck with the Esso stuff just for peace of mind. It can also be labelled Mobil LT71141 as they are now the same company.
