Tiptronic S?

A question to kill my curiosity! I have seen a number of 993's for sale referred to as a "Tiptronic S" I know generally the 911 can be categorised as a C2, C4, S, Turbo etc, however does the S on Tiptronic refer to the type of gear box or is it a S spec engine? as I dont think I've seen one up with out the S if it is Tiptronic. Tiptronic S means that it has the tiptronic controls on the 'S'teering wheel, as well as the 'manual' gate on the stick.
