tiptronic stuck in 3rd

hi guys,i have had my 2005 997 S cab gen 1 Guards Red for about 11months 26000 miles now and have noticed 2nd to 3rd in manual mode a bit sluggish. Today after a 9 mile run would only start off in 3rd from traffic lights or junctions.Put back into auto and no change.No messages on dash or when start up. Should i worry about it??. Stopped and parked car and after a hour everthing seemed ok. Should say i wasn't giving it any as the wife was in the car.Any Suggestions would be much appreciated.
 
A diagnostic check on the PIWIS should be your first step. And then check the ATF levels. A good Indy should be able to diagnose the problem.
