Tried renewing my subscription and once again come across a stumbling block. 944 seems to have disappeared.

any ideas?

Or dont all i ever got was 1000's of viruses trying to get sent thought. i came off the mail list, best thing i could have done.

Once Titanic gets a proper forum then i will be on it like a shot.

Slightly harsh on titanic! there was a virus problem recently 6-8 a day but it has calmed down again now (1 yesterday). I have been using it since near the begining and though occasionally we do get some excess of OT stuff it is generally very helpfull and friendly.

I must admit I haven't looked at it for a few weeks now. I would dearly love to see it use a forum format because I can't access the email at work (like I'd have time [8|]) and I find I can't be bothered when I get home because it's all jumbled together, people whinge about mail sizes so no attachments etc. However there is a much larger pool of experience on there than in here where I DO like the format.

If there is a way that the same content could be provided by both forum and email then that would be ideal. It would mean the death of this forum I guess, but then there's always the nagging 'freedom of speech' issue on here which means you have to think twice before speaking your mind on some subjects which I might suggest justifies it if I were a harsh person.

[FONT=Trebuchet MS"]Bear in mind that Titanic is run by Rob and Simon Faulkner as a hobby and its success is nothing short of amazing. Lots of upgrades and new ideas in the pipeline but as with all of us spare time is at a premium. They even have wives and families to consider!

Recent glitches with spam software on AOL, Hotmail and various others. Not all sorted but they are making progress. Easy to use and no politics.

.....and I believe they were being entertained in foreign fields with a number of GT3 owners last week [8D]

To be honest most forums are ru in people spare time as a hobby these nothing new there!!

If anything would prob make there life easier changing to some decent forum sofeware after he initial set-up.

I am sure titanic is great, but to be honest once you are used to useing proper forum software then its a joke very un user friendly and far far too time conusuming to use.

Its nobodies fault just things have moved on.

I quite like the mail only format when I want to check on things with a mobile phone connection. If I am away or should i need to find a specialist in a hurry in a different corner of the country.
Don't see how its any more time consuming than surfing the web.

The mail only format works well for me - now that I have set up a separate mailbox for Titanic. Previously it would clog all my other mail making remote recovery almost impossible. Very glad to have anti virus software though.

Like Fen, I like the format of the PCGB forum and the ease with which pictures can be related to postings when required. The only down side it that it does take longer to Smurf through all the postings rather than run down a list of e-mails with the big "delete" button.

Strange as it may seem, the use of avatars, and the like, seems to make the whole PCGB experience less annonimous and perhaps engenders more of a mood of polite discussion.
