To Service or not to Service?

I have a 2005 987, which I have owned from new.
So far I have had the OPC service every 2 years.
Since the last service in 2015 I have only managed 5K miles [:(].
Total mileage is 32K and the car is a 'keeper'.
The 12 year service is a biggie. Is it worth it, or can I risk waiting, say, 2 years, as annual mileage not likely to be more than 4-5K.

Thanks,
Peter

Get a quote or two from local Porsche Independant and see if the OPC will match it. If they won't, use the Independant it shouldn't gave a detrimental effect on your car's value.

Service

The previous owner of my 2002 996 C2 averaged just over 900 miles a year for the 7 years he owned it but religiously had it serviced at his local OPC every 12 months as stuff wears out/ decays through age as well as mileage (more so in some cases) so I would definitely get it serviced, whether you use an OPC or an Indy is up to you.

I have a 98 993 turbo and i have always had it serviced by OPC and would recomend that you continue OPC servicing you never know you may want to sell one day and i think full opc service history will stand you in good sted in a sale

Another vote for getting it serviced. My car is the same age; would like to have given my OPC the business but not even close price-wise. A good indy is every bit as good imo, some might say better.

Thank you for the words of wisdom.
Management has given approval [8D]
Service booked.

Must get out more!
