Just wanted to say thanks for your contribution to the Carrera register section in Februarys Porsche Post.

I was getting rather worried that as I have decided to try and get my car back to original specification ( buying original Blaupunkt stereo etc etc ) and was beginning to think I was seriously deranged !!! [&:]

I don't really profess to understand anything about rechipping or hot film treatments or induction kits and tend to be of the opinion that those nice people in Stuttgart know much more than me about engine design !!

At lease now I know I'm not alone.

Yeah, I too had similar thoughts, although my 3.2 is far from stock - but mtr and Gearbox are basically bog standard.
It constantly amazes me how strong and willing the 3.2 is: and yet it would seem there are many who would desire more? As I have said before - that wanker (porbably censored - to do with your richard cranium) on BBC 2, the so-called car guru - jermey "Clackson" (Gosh - someone is having a go at the guru?) - always going on about more Horsepower [>:] The Tossa? - what about handling and driving abilities - imagine some 20 year old in a 600 hp you-beaut Jap crap heap? [] With of course the 800 watt stereo system, 23 speakers, and power asist everything? (rant mode - off)[8D]
For 200 pounds you could get a half days driving instruction with one on one.... or 30 or so litres of good oil - and change it often, or a sump heater, or 10 litres of POR15 - to rust-proof the body, etc, etc, etc.
Gime the 3.2 any day[:D]
Peter
