Toggle switch pushed in - how do I get it back?

It stopped raining, I had a short journey to run, I started Ted and let him warm up (well, you like to don't you?), I hopped in, closed the door, leant across to the cabrio roof swith, pressed it and.. poop! the switch pushed backwards into the dash. It hasn't gone far but obviously I need to get the switch back into it's rightful place.[:(][:(]

How much stuff do I have to remove in order to get my fingers to the back of the switch in order to push it back into place please?

(I suppose this tells me to use the switch on the key doesn't it?)

Happened to me too. I got the trim out by taking the cigar lighter out, and put my thumb in the 12v socket for a bit of grip and gently pulled. It came out quite easily for me. Once the trim is loose you can push the switch back in place from the underside.

Sounds almost like a line from a film but what you're saying is that you just hooked your thumb in there and pulled? It all went back okay?

For me it was easy. All it did was give me something to grip onto so I could pull the trim loose without using any implements to prise it out.

The best way is to get a butter knife under the bottom edge, and carefully lever it off.
