Ok, apologies if you don't think this is 964RS relevant but I've just heard Tom Wheatcroft died at the end of October. If nothing else we should give thanks that he brought back Donington Park, Sponsored Roger Williamson and built a great museum. I only met him one but a character he surely was. Motorsport's poorer for his going.

Tony, I agree. I sincerely hope he,s not turning in his grave based on the current threat to the fantastic Donington Park by its new (well intentioned) owners.

You've only just heard!!! Where have you been Tony???

Highly recommend his autobiog 'Thunder in the Park' -even Mrs. Melv enjoyed it!

Haven't been getting out a lot recently Mel! Definitely agree about the book, a great read.
Don't know what will happen to the Park now, hope the family have enough of Toms enthusiasm to keep an eye on things and not just sell - it's a bad enough mess at the moment.
