All,

What do you recon? New wheel nuts fitted (Genuine) makes my locking wheel nuts look rubbish.....

I want to retain my wheels ... but how often are wheels stolen these days.....you would need a low level jack - I have to drive up small ramps even before i can a jack beneath ... car spends 99% of its life in secure garage anyway.....

What you think......?

Better safe than sorry is my view - maybe its my glass half empty viewpoint but why make it easy for the low lifes to rip you off - just one thing less to worry about if you keep them on.

OK, but the locking wheel nuts are not significantly more expensive (per nut) than the genuine P branded non-locking and all you need to do is keep the key with the wheel brace.

New set of locking nuts for sure. A single genuine Porsche wheel costs in the region of £750 from Porsche (plus the cost of a tyre). I can't see any insurance company happy to pay out nearly £4000 if they are stolen after you removed the standard fit locking nuts. [8|]

My genuine Porsche locking nuts, bought from my local OPC about 8 years ago, didn't cost much more than the normal nuts, so I can't see any reason not to fit them. The key in question is a sort of socket that fits over the whole nut, not the kind of key you put in the door, like my 964 nuts were. All very neat, and some peace of mind.
