Having blown away the noise meter last Saturday...need to get a pair of restrictors anyone know where?

Lee, I think it is "supertrapp" from memory...otherwise Des would probably try to fit a large rodent trap on the back end and it woud still be loud [:D]

Des, I beleive Demon tweeks have these...not that cheap and you will need 2 for your bling exhaust,,,,,,also try merlin motorsport and Hayward & Scott.

p.s. It was probably a good thing you were too loud after all, with the rain in the afternoon it saved the recovery truck the inevitable job of retrieving you from the gravel [;)]

I don't know, Des. When will you ever learn?
Please remember that without a go-faster exhaust the 964RS is the SILENT ASSASSIN.
It needs no dross. That's the whole point.

Yes point taken but love the sound, with the absence of ICE the roar of that woody flat six is there to behold.....[:D]

It does sound good...perhaps too good!

Des with you posting at this time, does that mean t'internet has now reached "Nelson Mandella house"? [:D]

Des I would suggest easing off on the throttle a bit, but with only 260bhp you need all the help you can get !!! [:D] [:D] [:D]

Des, Demon Tweeks, about ÂŁ50 a piece depending on size. www.demon-tweeks.co.uk or 01978-664466

Regards

I did the same thing at Oulton so have just bought a muffler for this purpose - however as my set up is taking the phrase 'straight through' to the extreme I'm probably going to swap the cup pipe back to the standard box.....Rob H you still game?

Need to do the first week in May on return from jollies.

J

des what ever you do with your sooper dooper ever so fast or was it slow 64,dont fit supertraps.
They are dangerous to the engine,to much back pressure and far to much heat build up in exasut system and exaust valves/guides!
Merlin at castle combe do some good tips that dont kill to much power.

Yep still game J, let me know when and where

Des get rid of that carlos fandango exhaust set up (cos it sounds tooo good) and get a proper discreet sounding system like mine......tight wadd.

Thanks Paul need really BIG Girth (there big again) have been offered a pair of really good girth trapps from a fellow Porschaphile he had a similar problem.........will give you a call Paul H and discuss your warning.......[&:]

Oh and Paul J you seem obsessed with 260BHP mine is probably topping about 300+ with massive torque (there we go again reference to size) and probably about 450kg lighter than your German Advertising Executives Express so would stonk your tricked up 996 on power to weight as ably demonstrated by a certain Herr Spear mit Cuppenwaggenenenen.........[:)]

Paul J can I suggest that in the current Anne Summers catalogue there is a section that may deal with your size problem.......[:D]

Des keep the exhausts cos when those gt3's try to get close you can keep them at bay with a touch of lift off flame throwing [;)]
