Took a few pics last night :)

I took a few pics too..but sadly me and the gf didn't arrive until it was quite dark so they aren't the best pics doh!

Quick question: This is the first PCGB meeting we have attended. We arrived about 7pm ish and mooched around the car park looking at the assembled selection of some of Stuttgart's finest. Chatted to a few folks, then popped in for a drink and food. As our meals came out folks disappeared upstairs (excellent timing on our part lol). What's the general deal at these events, is there a formal meeting or was this simply a function room booked from 8pm so PCGB don't annoy the pub regulars? :p

We didn't have much time to stick around and had to leave about 8.30pm so couldn't pop up after we had eaten :O(

Cheers

The usual format is that people tend to turn up from c. 7pm, either kick the tyres or have a meal then around 8pm the meeting starts in the upstairs club room.

If you need to eat, best to do this when you turn up and time it to be finished for 8pm.

I was impatient last night so turned up at 17:45 cause I wanted to catch the low sun. In hindsight I should have gone a tad earlier as the shadows were on the car.

Sorry you didn't get to see us upstairs Andy. As David says, we tend to arrive around 7ish if you want to eat before the meeting, perhaps a little earlier in the summer to give time for a drink and tyre kicking in the car park. The best option for eating is the carvery - excellent quality and no waiting. We have a long, reserved table down one side but you sometimes have to wait for someone to finish their meal before there is a seat. I had to last night! The meeting is usually very informal with Tom, our RO, just filling everyone in with what has happened recently and anything planned for the future. Sometimes we have a speaker or or a particular activity. After that it's just milling round the room talking to like minded folk.

Hope you can come next month!

Laura

Great photos Kevin and good to see you again.
Unfortunately the clocks will have gone back by the next meeting, so you'll have to arrive at about 5pm to catch some more good light (providing the sun is out of course) :)
Andyvvc…… hope to see you at the next meet. Shame we missed you.

Super photos Kevin, sorry we did not see you upstairs but we hope to see you next time and please find me out if I do not spot you.
It would seem that owing to how busy we have become I sometimes miss new members especially if I have met them elsewhere before. On the other side not to my credit I approached a guy on Monday asked him if it was his first time and he said, no I have attended 3 times before and you also asked me last time if I was new!!!!! Sorry.

No problem at all, I know you are busy on these evening's. Best time to catch you will be The Griffins Head ;) (Alas now, not until next Spring)

Thanks for the info all! Hopefully we'll be able to meet properly at the next meeting (2017..?)

One last "quick question". Having checked my membership pack, i appear to be in R4 (Lincs). However, we live just over the border so-to-speak and both work in Nottingham, so it'll actually be easier for us to get to the evening meetings with the R8 group than the R4 group. Weekend meets, it'll be easier to get to the R4 locations...

Does it matter if folks cross-pollenate between local Regions at all?
