Tell me the top five things (or more) you would like to fix on your 924 from minor mods to major fixes.

Here's mine.

1. Squealing alternator belt
2. Driver's door mirror loose
3. Headlight washer motor needs replacing
4. Trim missing from front windscreen edges
5. Rear hatch bolts need adjusting to seal rear tailgate

Ah John, how are you?

You know you have been spoilt by the power of that 944 Turbo Cabrio... [;)]

I have just confimed the purchase of a 924 short engine which will go with my 0.5mm oversize turbo pistons, modifed cam (designed specifially for the turbo engine) and skimmed block (only 0.002"). With the custom made intercooler but the same boost I am realistcally loooking for 210 , as I have already discovered that an intercooled 924t on its own can produce 196 bhp and if I don't get another 14 for the other mods I have wasted my money. The brakes will be overhauled, it will have an almost new gearbox, that I originally put in the "ebay special" and probably the Boxster S wheels too.

I recently (last weekend) replaced the rear hatch seal and it is a snip to fit with out cutting. I suppose the most challenging bit is feeding the rear wiper motor cables back up the conduit and crimping new ends on. I just unscewed one strut at a time and supported the hatch on my head whilst I fed the strut the other side of the rubber.

Hello Paul,

I can help you out with the windscreen trim and the windscreen wash motor, I have them going spare from the red 924 that I am breaking down. I'll bring them to the Frontrunner event.

My top five things for my 924 Le Mans that I am restoring are-

1. Get engine fixed. Timing or earth issue.
2. Replace all the interior.
3. Tlc for body work.
4. Wax oil underneath of car.
5. Get car ready for the Porsche event for the 11th July 2009.

On my red 924S my top five things are.

1. Replace front bumper after going sideways into a hedge.
2. Replace electric sunroof cables and motor.
3. Cambelt replacement in 20,000 miles or in 18 months time.
4. Sping clean for my car.
5. Yearly major service for my car. Checking all hose's, bodywork etc etc now the summertime is here after the long winter nights.

Top five things for my wife.[:D]

1. Birthday in April.
2. Let her watch her soaps etc etc
3. Try to persuade her to come to the new Porsche museum.
4. Will be coming with me to the Frontrunner event and the Cotswold rally.
5. Take her to California later this year.

Mmm top 5 things now there's a challenge i can list so many lol

1) Find out where the rain gets in in the passenger side footwell

2) Find out why only one mirror will adjust through the switch.

3) find some decent black sun visors

4) Have the gearbox refurbished

5) have the wheels balanced and tracked

6) find out why the radio pickes up a clicking noise from the engine

7) Drive it more

8) find a left hand side rubber that goes under the light

9) cure the petrol smell you get when the window is open.

10) fix the headlight washers wireing that burnt out.

I think they are the main things to do nothing serious but all little things that make the driving experience better
