Hi all ,Did anyone see in Sat`s Telegraph that James May from Top Gear has bought a 3.2? Nice change to see a motoring journalist who doesn`t just champion the newest and shiniest (a la Clarkson),and is prepared to write about it.
I wonder when he`ll start posting on here.

Indeed, and if you go into your local BMW bike dealer and pick up a copy of their house magazine (BMW Bikes, winter 2004) you can read an article about Richard "Hamster" Hammond has just spent his own money on a BMW R1150 GS.

I`m trying to imagine driving an American "car" after a spell in a Porsche.............................................and still trying. What could possibly induce you ( or should I say one) to get back in it a second time?apart from having another good laff.
I think James May should be given charge of the show (TG)and it should come from the shed I`m certain he must have in his garden.

As James May said last year - he's the only proper "bloke" on the show.

Hammond dips his head in a bucket of hair products every morning & Clarkson doesn't even drink brown beer.

Good lad.

Does anyone know of a good reason for this............???

Maybe he just wanted to listen to a big V8, and go sideways as much as possible.
Fun comes in different shapes and sizes.

Whilst I wouldn't have one instead of a 911, I might be tempted to have one as well. Especially since you can tinker with it to your hearts content - there's not much electronic trickery.
