Top Service from Autostrassa

Have been a little concerned about an odd noise comming from the back of BKE - he is a 944 so it isn't the engine :ROFLMAO:.

Any way, after some debate last night the conclusion was my rear wheel bearing is on the way out. Not so good with the Eden Project weekend looming. []

I phoned Autostrassa this morning and they agreed to sort it for me tomorrow. How is that for service?

John,

I cannot rate Ken and Alan highly enough. Everytime the car has been with them I have received a top class service.

I even got a great service at my local Kwik Fit at the weekend . The car was making a loud noise from the offside rear and it was getting louder everytime I went out. The Manager took it out for a drive and had to drive back at 5mph as the wheel was about to fall off !! It seems the nuts holding the spacer to the hub and all but one come undone !

As you can imagine i was pretty shocked and darn glad it hadn't come off whilst I was driving !!

the wheel was about to fall off !!

I had that on my Capri once (20 years ago). I quickly learnt that alloy wheels expand and contract and it is worth checking your nuts periodically, especially if the wheels have got hot through a bit of enthusiastic braking.

I did check BKE's wheel nuts. I actualy swapped them for a new set I purchased at Brands as a couple had cracked their seating fanges and one or two were looking more than a little sad.

Any road up, Belinda brought BKE home this evening apparently fixed. It seems there had been a little delay because of a problem with Pauls C4 post service?

I agree with the above comments I've had good service from Alan and Ken for many years and it's a good idea to check your nuts periodically- apparently!
