Torque tube : does it fit ?

Hello,

Following some noisy issues with the transmission of my S2 I eventually found a second hand torque tube which bearings are in good shape.
I plan to go and fetch it with the S2 (in case the trans blows up en route ... [] ).
I have removed the back seats ; do you think it will fit ???

Hmmm, I think it should do but you may need to tilt the passenger seat forward as well and place it diagonally across the car?

Worst case you could have it poking out the back and tie the hatch down with rope to the bumper. I'm sure with plenty of old sheets you wouldn't do any damage[]

It did fit very well, with the back seats removed. Had to hold it with the right hand in tight corners, though.
