Torsion bars

I came across a pair of torsion bars in the garage and cant recall what model 944 they were off (possibly an s2). There are no part numbers but they have a blob of yellow paint at one end and brown at the other which im presuming is how you identify them,so does anybody know what they are off ??

I have no idea or how to measure them !!

You need a reasonably accurate measuring caliper as the diferences are only mm's.

I have improvised in the past by bending some wire in a C shape and measuring the gap. You have to make sure the wire is not so stiff it has some spring-back. It is not 100% accurate but should be able to get you within a mm if you take care. But some outside calipers should be pretty cheap or even micrometers are pretty cheap these days.
