Total respray advice needed please!

I think I may have to bite the bullet and go for a full-on take-the-car-to-bits respray involving a small amount of welding before the handful of little bubbles and rust spots I have turn into gaping holes.

Has anyone used a specialist in the Milton Keynes area that does not confuse the Porsche badge with having unlimted access to Bill Gate's bank account, bearing in mind we're talking a largely bolt-together SC Targa in simple Guards Red?

Any ideas on a reasonable amount to budget also gratefully received.

Chris,

Without a shadow of doubt I can heartilly recommend T.A.B.S in Wavendon. The address is:

Unit 4, Eagle Farm
Cranfield Rd
Woburn Sands
Milton Keynes
MK17 8AS

Tel: 01908 281550

Contact: Tim Brewer

They did my full respray last year and they are great. There have been several people from the Club been there since on my recommendation and from the article in Porsche Post.

Tim will tell it like it is - no BS - and he will give you a quote he will stick to. They have a lot of experience with Porsche and are BMW Approved. Adrian, the painter, is excellent as well.

Give Tim a call - and tell him Dave Wilkinson sent you.

Regards

Dave

Thaks Dave, I'll give him a call. I gave your car a close inspection at the concours event the other weekend and was mightily impressed. Could well be the yellowest thing I've ever seen.
