A date for your diary
As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations we are organising a Porsche Tour Of The East Midlands on Sunday 14th August.
The Official Porsche Centre in Leicester have generously agreed to be our sponsors and this will be our morning starting venue where we will be treated to coffee and pastries
It will be a gentle road tour through the picturesque Leicestershire countryside finishing at the Coopers' Arms in Weston on Trent for a late Sunday roast.
Cost will be approximately £35.00 per car, (two people) which will include a 2-course meal at the Coopers, road books/route map/rally stickers etc.
Any profits raised will be for the air ambulance.

That sounds like a very pleasant idea for a summer Sunday.

We are R21 (Chilterns) affiliated members as we work in London, but our house is in Holbrook, near Belper.

Hi everyone

Looks like this event is be about full as we now have the best part of 40 entries. This is a tremendous result on this, our first road tour venture

The OPC in Leicester will be opening their doors at 7.30 so see you all there - in the sunshine I have ordered!

Don't forget your National Trust cards, if you are a member, as the route will be going through the spectacular grounds of Calke Abbey

Sorry I could only attend the start of the event.

Lovely weather for it, bright but not too hot (yet!) and a very nice location to star from.

Its difficult to say "thank you" in an original way when others beat you to it! - but many thanks to all concerned.

A very enjoyable day out.

A nice way to finish as well, back at the regular meeting establishment for an excellent carvery. I'm glad I don't work in the pub/restaurant trade - looked like very hard work to me.

All I can say is Hear Hear! A brilliant day out and thank you very much to all those who were involved. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and met some lovely people. Well done!

Hi Everyone

Thanks to the 40 cars that turned up for the event and we hope that they enjoyed to as much as we did. Everything seemed to run like clockwork and this is all due to Adrian and Peter's hard work and attention to detail.

It was so good we are working on persuding them to do another event next year!

Thanks Mike (now rapidly becoming our official R8 photographer) for attending the start and taking some photos some of which we hope to publish in PP
