Touch up paint

Depends what you're touching up.

The touch up pens from the dealer are probably the best ones in my experience.
They last a while too!
I bought Meteor grey for my previous Boxster when I bought the car, and the paint was still good 6.5 yrs on when I sold it!

I've also used the ChipEx kits for touching in stone chips etc and they are good, with a good colour match.

+1 for Chipex. It’s rather expensive, but very easy to use, and the correction fluid enables you to correct any mistakes. It’s single-pack and so you don’t need to apply a clear lacquer which always leaves you with an even bigger blob on top of that of the actual touch-in paint applied with either a brush or pen.

I’ve used Chipex very successfully on a red Golf and dark blue Civic, but I have to say that it’s not great on my Arctic Silver Cayman, although I believe that touching-in silver is always difficult regardless of method employed.

Touching-in stone chips and minor scratches will never be as good as a respray, but the result generally will be acceptable from a distance of a metre or so.
