Touch up pens

You can get the old fashioned touch up paints (with brush) from Porsche, if that's any use. £12.47 inc vat for a paint and lacquer set.

I have tried the touch up paints before but they go on too thick however you try to remove the majority of the paint.
The Halfords touch up pens are great but they don't do Porsche colours!
There are a couple fine scratches and a some stone chips that need some TLC, I might pop into Halfords to see if there are any colours that match?

Peter,
I will print and have a read of your thread, thanks.

I just bought some of the Porsche touch up paint. My bonnet is badly peppered with stone chips. I touched up the chips by dipping a toothpick into the paint and touching into the chips, layer by layer, making sure I finished below flush. Then applied the clearcoat in the same way. If you found you've overdone the paint (as I did in a few places) I used a friend's 'rubber on the end of a pencil' like tool from Halfords (contains fine rough elements) to rub it down. Then I used Autoglym Super Resin Polish and wax. It's a big improvement, but not amazing.

I was down the pub last night and that's what we thought was the best way to use the porsche touch up paint.
Thanks
