Guys

Will a 964 screw in towing eye fit a 944 Lux. If not, where is a suitable point to winch it onto a trailer?

Thanx in advance.

Answers by 9a.m. GMT next Monday please!!

Hi again Mel,

I don't think there should be a problem using a 964 tow eye - the socket is behind the black pads on the Lux bumper, but then you knew that.

I'm not aware of any alternative towing point at the front that isn't going to damage the car.

Where is the towing eye? Is it near the Jack& brace or the toolkit?

Where can i buy one?

Cheers

Well, I can answer my own question now -it fits -no prob!! See ad in For Sale section for Trailer Services........

The towing eye SHOULD be in the toolkit of you have an original one.

It should be in the tool roll in the boot - if it opened you'd be able to check [:D]

Apart from mine which I lost at Bedford Autodrome [&o] .....................anyone got a spare?

Nope, sorry ... mine is (still!) being repaired by Abridge (repairers to OPC East London), and last time I saw it they had lost the cover ...
