Towing with a 3.2 cayenne

I am thinking buying a 3.2 cayenne to tow my caravan. Can anyone give me any feed back on what they like to tow with?

Thanks

[:)] I spent some time towing a twin axle Bailey with mine, never a problem, it was as capable as my previous 4.8 Jeep. However, an S would be more capable and cost about the same to purchase and run.

Test them both.

Thanks for the feedback. I have thought about an s but looking at insurance cost thought 3.2 would be best. The car will only be used most of time for towing. I currently have an xc90 diesel and it seems to lack power on hills and wanted something that would keep pulling on hills with a bit of luxury hence cayenne.

We have a 2010 XC90 had it remapped by Volvo, 205 hp and loads of torque, tows really well, as it was done by Volvo the warranty is still valid, might be worth considering?

I have thought about a remap but decided not to as not sure engine and gearbox would be up to it. Mine is only 163ps model. The xc90 is great tow car and very very stable tow vehicle but just lacks power. Hoping the cayenne will be stable tow and have plenty of power.

[:)]Have you thought about a Cayenne oil burner ..... I've never been a big diesel fan .... But it impressed me .... Worth considering [;)]

Yes I know what you mean, about the 163 hp engine, we tested one when they first came out, very under powered, we bought a 185 05 plate, which we had for 4 years then bought a 10 plate which has been remapped.

I think you can nearly buy 2 x XC90 for cost of a new cn oil burner!
