TQ: Filling out wheelarches

I'm sure someone can help Thomas fill out his wheelarches [:)]

My query is as follows:

Last year I purchased a (Channel Islands) 924s (April, 1986) which has 15 inch diameter, 6 inch width Teledial alloy wheels on the front and rear.

The car has required a lot of restoration, which is now nearing completion.

All the tyres required replacing and having contacted Dunlop, Michelin and Pirelli, I am advised that 205 width tyres on these rims will be fine (the original tyres were 195).

I have replaced the front tyres but want to "fill-out" the rear wheel arches, as when viewed from the rear, the original wheels look set too far inwards, the tyres too narrow and the wheel arches "empty"

I have seen in the Porsche PET document that two alternative types of Teledial wheels (both 15 inch diameter and 7 inch width) are available "" but, I believe, for the 944.

The move to 7 inch rims would enable me to fit 215 tyres.

The part numbers are as follows:

951 362 104 00 alloy wheel 7J x 15 ET 23.3 (I believe this is the off-set)

944 362 104 00 alloy wheel 7J x 15 ET 52.3 (ditto)

Would either of these wheels fit my car?

Do you have any other suggestions?

The other alternative is to fit (thin, ie 6mm) spacers "" but I am reluctant to do so, as I am still left with my relatively narrow 6 inch rims/205 tyres and, more importantly, less thread to screw the wheel nuts on to.

Any help / advice would be gratefully received.

Thankyou very much.

Kind regards
