Track Day Helmet Spec.

I was enquiring at Scott Murray Motorcycles in Dunfermline about helmets and was advised that someone who bought a Spada Open Face was not allowed to use it at Knockhill recently because it wasn't obviously EC 22-05 Approved (although it is!). Has anyone else had any difficulty like this? They are getting more in this week so I'm looking to buy so any advice would be welcome. I'll also be contacting Knockhill to ask but your views would be welcome.
Thanks

dont think they cherckout helmet spec there more interested that you have it on but you can always loan one from there helmet store £5 charge

I'm 100% sure the old pieces of crap they rent out wouldn't meet any safety standards, so find this hard to believe. I've used both full and open-faced at knockhill and never been questioned or even had the helmet looked at.

I have a full face helmet, but wondered if i would be better off renting an open face one. By what you say sounds like i will be safer sticking to my own helmet.
