Track day. Help...

Suffering from Trackdayitus.

Just had to post this on here just in case it's a recognised condition..

Did Goodwood just over a month ago and now can't help my persistent plotting to get the old girl back out on the track  ...  Trips to Tesco just don't cut it anymore, well not that they ever did.. But there is something really quite satisfying when you look at the exhausts and find the usual Tesco carbon black has been replaced by a nice Stoichiometric warm brown... Lovely.

Now, how far to Castle Combe....

You need to be careful as soon you will want this challenge:

and before you know it you will want one of these:

then in the winter you will want to do this :

along the way you will use lots of these:

but unless you are completely barking you should be able to avoid one of these:

Its a terrible disease - I've done Silverstone 4 times in the last two months, with Snetterton in a couple of weeks.

Get another set of wheels/tyres though so that you're not worrying about ragging your road ones.....[:D] (PS those are Bob's old ones on my car!)

I m only down the road from u in Shenley ....where the assylum used to be !

It is indeed incurable ...best advice go with the flow and just enjoy it

oh ,BTW , u dont grow out of it there is NO cure !

Thanks for the support fellas .. Good to know i'm not alone.

Hmmm Eau Rouge. I do like the idea of Spa.
It probably features right up there on most 'sufferers' wish lists ... Although I guess the chances of my wife discovering my new found love are a little higher if I disappear off for the weekend, only to return with melted tyres and bootful of chocolate to show for it.

Hmmm, who knows she may see a positive in there somewhere...

As a way of persuading my wife that another trackday car was in order, I took her to Bedford to only find out she actually enjoyed it and now encourages us to go more often.. She's even been passenger around the Nurburgring this year (Although she felt sick at the end of it!).

Go for it I say! I'm doing Donnington next, can't wait for that [:)]
