track day suspension

A question for track day enthusiasts please. My S2 is intended primarily for track days but I will be driving it to and from the circuit and also want to keep the car suitable for sunny day road work. I am in the process of prepping it up for this work and a preliminary track session at Castle Combe revealed a well set up front but a very soggy and wayward rear. This was with new Koni Sport dampers but AFAIK original bushes etc. Therefore I plan to rebuild the rear suspension and will fit turbo torsion bars and new bushes all round. The question is, without going to the expense of Elephant Racing bronze bushes, what is preferable....Powerflex Poly bushes or new original Porche rubber bushes?

My reading on the Elephant website makes a persuasive case AGAINST poly bushes...but then they would as they want people to buy their expensive bronze bushes.
What is the experienced view out there?

I am going poly on my 944 t track car. It already has a poly bushed front end and am putting elephant racing rear castor blocks on. Whole rear end is going to be done using weltmeister bushes from Paragon in the us. Works out pretty cheap. Soem people say that they squeek a bit, I am just going to make sure I grease them up well.

Thanks for that. Will check out the paragon website. Any one here already driving on poly rear bushes?
