Track Day Thanks

A quick vote of thanks to the PCGB Track Day crew. Last night at Brands was yet another well organised event. Very good indeed. Unfortunately it was probably my last PCGB day of the year but I' m looking forward to next year already - although I' m sure my tyres aren' t!

My only criticism would be that although the Brands Marshalls said they would get the blue flag out - they did not. In my group there was a mobile chicane who in the first session didn' t move over when clearly the car behind was both faster and had been for a number of corners. This led to quite a queue and bunching. I ended up slowing to thirty to allow a decent gap to build up so I could play catch up. A number of times in fact...I do apologise if anyone got cheesed off with me during those times.

Thankfully in the second session the behaviour changed (did someone have a word?) and an absolutely excellent session was had with polite courteous and fast driving from all concerned - including the aforementioned car - so no hard feelings.

Roll on next year.

Oh. And if a bright red Boxster S appears in your rear view suddenly but doesn' t tailgate you...its because I want to go past but I' m not in the business of driving like a twit. Just because I' m not right up your chuff doesn' t mean I' m not quicker.....damnit. Plenty of people wanted to pass me and I let them...
