I did one last year for my 40th (pressie from the missus). It was at Elvington (where the hamster crashed) Got to drive a Lambo Gallardo & a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. It was fantastic, especially the 360 CS (what a beast). Sounds like you'll get a lot more driving than I did - I only got to do half a dozen laps in each [:(] Still brilliant though.

Enjoy,

I've been on a couple of Donington trackdays now and it is a fantastic circuit. I've also got a voucher for either the Ferarri 360/996/Lotus Elise/Intro to Motorsport experience and am just deciding when to book.

The best advice I can give you is to listen to whatever instruction you are given. When i had instruction the chap was very good - he didn't try to 'teach' me as such but just gave me pointers and once I started to listen to him it all started to come together and before I knew it I was driving much faster than I had before when on my own whilst doing much less work behind the wheel and being much much kinder to the car. There is definately a real knack to it.

You'll have a blast!

cheers fellas yea was my 40th as well ill listen dont worry the whole point is to admit your not mr hamilton

I did a similar day at Thruxton a few years ago - Mazda RX8 'touring car', Merc SLK, Porsche 996 Turbo, and finished with a Formula Renault Single Seater.

The F3 single seater will be excellent fun. You'll probably find the single seater has a limiter for max revs/speed (I think Thruxton's are around 120mph) but they feel very, very fast because you are literally sitting with your butt 5cm off the tarmac, your face in the wind and the steering is very precise.

Wear narrow trainers if pixie boots aren't supplied - there's really not a lot of room at the pedal box end of the cockpit.

had a great day single seater was definatly the best fun even in the wet spun 3 times ferrari was a bit boring tbh but definatly do it again
