I see the PCGB track day calendar has been released. I am new to this whole PCGB thing, and just wondering if R3 normally have a convoy going to a particular track day event and make a day of it, or should I just book individually?

Not sure of the R3 plans regarding track days through the year but I've booked Anglesey as it's the day before Porsche on the Prom at Llandudno, so going down for the weekend.

Most members tend to just book individually, Alistair, as some do the half day, others the full day. Croft is provisionally 23rd August this year. There's usually a good attendance by R3, including some who just enjoy watching. If you need any further info, give Cornbury House a ring, they'll happily answer any queries you may have.

I could fancy croft this year.

No date yet for Croft - it’s usually the week before/after Witton Castle or whenever I’m on holiday!

I’m up for a few this year as I got none in last year. Eyeing up a bloke’s “Spa Day” in November with OpenTrack as well as a possible ‘Ring trip in late May/June if anyone else is interested?

I feel like a track day or two is in order!

Croft and maybe an earlier one, any suggestions?

A 'ring trip in late may or early june sounds like fun too, marker is down for that.

I’m well up for Croft and Trip to the ring, maybe also a detour to the Porsche factory while we’re over there.

I see the Croft track day date is on there now and is 23rd August. I will be booking my slot on Monday if anybody else is interested in joining me.

Changed my summer holidays to earlier in the year so should be able to make Croft for once.

Booked the late May Bank Holiday at the Ring for 3 days (5 days including the ferry) - going with a big group, rented a 15 bed Villa, if someone drops out I’ll let you know via FB Al.

Porsche Factory closes in April for 6 MONTHS!!!!! this year so not worth the detour!

The ’Rimg in late May sounds good, may extend for a run down to the Alpine passes again.

Can pass any details on thanks?

Hi Raj, I’m not the organiser - ferry allocation and Villa are fully booked for our group. Going Thursday 24th on the afternoon Ferry Newcastle-Amsterdam and coming back on the afternoon of the 28th.

Ring is open Friday evening plus all day Saturday, Sunday and I think Monday too. Shouldn’t be any problems if you wish to tag along and make your own arrangements. The Ring will be exceptionally busy that weekend though, I dont know your experience but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have a decent amount of track time under your belt.

Thanks for the update mate!

Track novice so may have to take a rain check on a full 3 days?

Or may run past for a day on the way down to Alpine roads/Italy.

Let me have a chat with the Boss lol 🤣
