Track Days

I received a newsletter from Steve Kevlin today and here is the main section of it for those wishing to track their cars, most seem to be in the south but there are some at Croft, North Yorkshire ( in August ) and Oulton Park, Cheshire ( in October ).

Porsche Club Track Day dates released - 2013
This is the first Porsche Club Track Day Newsletter of 2013. Attached to this mail is a listing of the dates, venues and prices. This list also includes a booking form which can either be printed off to be posted or faxed to Porsche Club Motorsport, or you can complete it on-screen and mail it back to the Motorsport office.

As in 2012, we will continue to offer the opportunity to book half-day sessions. A number of Club members have confirmed that these allow them to attend a track day for a shorter session, where a full day would not be feasible.

However, due to the lack of flexibility in numbers we can accommodate on a Goodwood day, any half-day bookings for these days will be held and not confirmed until we are closer to the day. Full day bookings will take priority.

The number of days we are running at Goodwood have been increased slightly for 2013, reflecting an increase in interest at this popular circuit during 2012.

Castle Combe is always popular and we have maintained the number of days we are running there. We will also be running the popular Brands Hatch evening, which is always popular with those who are new to Track Days

Reflecting the shortfall in bookings at Silverstone GP circuit in 2012 (and the subsequent significant financial loss) we will not be running a day at this circuit in 2013. For the same reason we are not planning to go to Cadwell Park again this year.

Subject to demand, we are also planning a Croft Track Day in August. The Club is also looking at ways in which we might offer members the opportunity to have access to days on some other circuits (including Anglesey) and when we have more details, they will be mailed to you.
