Track Insurance: Manning.

I've just spoken to Manning who told me they will now only cover UK track days and not the likes of SPA or the Ring. If you have a current policy they will honour it until renewal but after that cover for only UK tracks.
This will certainly affect me and possibly others? Does anyone use another insurer for track days that will cover SPA and the Ring?
Cheers,
Donald.

Sounds like this is a major change to their policy. In the past they covered european tracks so long as they were ran by the 2 main track day association (UK based), this covered DN and circuit days. Going to make a ring trip much more expensive, estimated to be between £600-£800 per day

www.grove-dean-motorsport.com are a new set up for track day cover, I spoke with them at the Autosport show this year
www.towergateinsurance.co.uk are someone I have used in the past but expensive £500 per day plus

Only for renewals up to 1st August 2014. Any renewals after that - then No. Spoke to them yesterday

To be honest I was surprised they covered this much in the first place. If I was a European TDO I'd be getting nervous as this must represent a significant customer base who are now deterred from travelling abroad.

I suppose this was only inevitable, between the who TDO "association" scam being somewhat exposed and the recent issues with a track day claim then I'm surprised you can get any cover at all.

With no Spa or Ring cover, need to buy something disposable for track then ! 944's or the like, lol

They only cover PCGB trackdays. Any other TDO was a no no when I spoke to them at renewal time.

That's one company I needn't bother asking for a quote then.

So does this decision form Manning mean their premiums will drop then?

Chris.
