track tyres?

Not sure where you would get them,,, but I run,, dunlop DO1J's on my 2S,,, are superb in the dry,,,,, poor in the wet,,,, alot of the guys were using corsa's and seemed very happy with them,, but at nearly £1k a set, there not cheap,,,dunlops work out about £800
use P.Zeros on road,,, track tyres are much louder after 80mph on motorways, ar sounds like a big electric motor...they also pick up all the chips/gravel on the road, feel like your arches are being grit blasted.....so dont like using them on road.

cheers
scott..

Cheers scott, ive got p zeros on now, but i do the nurburgring 5+ times a year, they seem quite good but i seem to be getting a bit more sidways recently and wondered if track tyres would be that much better,if they wear out quick its going to get expensive, will have to see.[8|]

Elite Garages (advert in every Porsche Post) are distributors of all the major brands - they have the Michelin, Pirelli, Dunlop track tyres available. Do a decent discount for Club Members too.
Note: Elite Garages, not Elite Tyres!

If you are going to the Ring a lot, you could probably get Ring Racing to store a set of wheels with track tyres on? Not sure of the cost, but I know a few people that store their "'Ring toys" there [8D]
Then you could drive over with the road tyres, and swap when you get there?
