Trackday brake pads?

Guest

Sorry if this is a well worn topic but I need new pads. I only drive occasionally on the road so want a track biased pad. Any suggestions?
p.s. I tried Pagid Blues which were ok but caused brake judder. Must be something better out there.

Contrary to many, I've had no problems at all with Pagid Blues. Good stopping power and they wear well. No juddering issues like some people report. However I regularly bleed my brakes after every track session which I think helps a lot. Just my 2 p. I've heard that Pagid grey (RS15 ?) are even better but more expensive and harder on discs.

I'm one that had trouble with blues, i tend to create to much heat for them.

Running blacks now RS-14's.

Are you running the Yellowstuff Keith? Still a while away from replacing my pads, but I was considering them for the next change. I was wondering what they are like on the road - do they live up to EBC's claims? Let's face it, most of us do 2 or 300 miles as a round trip to do 100 miles on a track so the road performance is quite important.

Thanks for all your help.

My mechanic has just fitted some Yellowstuff pads so I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks again

Kristian
