Trackday - Donington 20th Nov

Anyone coming out to play?

Only 9 days away now & the Christmas shopping will just have to wait!

Hi Paul,
If my cars back and there are no problems with it then I fully intend to come along, although I wont book it till the last miunte just to be sure.
I'm certianly looking forward to giving it an outing, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms after being without the car for 5 weeks now. [:(]
best regards,
Peter

I hate spectating, and my car is not going to be ready, but if Peters is, then I may just come along to be sociable [:D]

Got four new track tyres last week - Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. They are stacked on top of my four D90s fitted with slicks and are just next to a stack of freshly painted 17" wheels that are waiting for my Turbo to come home.

Mrs Diver is a very understanding lady [:)]

So what colour are the 17"'s then?

I don't think I'll be out on the 20th as, if Beaky is back from his holidays by the 20th, his new house won't be finished so I don't want to be in a position to have to fix him.

Weather and wife depending I might pop up to say hello.. there are a few of teh 968uk forum boys going along as well.

Anyone else thinking of visiting? -- should have up to 10 front engined Porsche's there on the day, most tracking -- the more the merrier.

Vacancies in all departments: drivers, passengers (bring a lid), spectators & photographers

I've just booked, so will be there. My car may look a bit odd as its currently missing its badge panel, although fingers crossed i'll have put a vented one in place by Sunday.
See you there [:D]
Peter.

We need to get your car weighed and your engine dyno'd when its been chipped, Peter. I'm really excited about the prospect of a 220 bhp S2 engined Lux

Hi Paul,
I still want to do a lot more to it both to get some extra power and get rid of more weight, although saying that I intend to add a half cage and a passenger seat at some stage so that will bring it back up again.[:(]
I look forward to seeing you Sunday if you're still free, I'm very keen to see what you think of it.
Best regards,
Peter.

Peter,

Had you thought of going for a full cage? You would then get the advantage of the increased torsional rigidity.

Hi John,

As my car is driven daily to work I'd be worried about getting in and out easily, the bucket seat alone is bad enough, particularly in tight car parks!

I'd also be worried about the potential to hit my (or my passengers) head against the bar when using it without a helmet on (particularly if a 3 point harness was being used).

But perhaps I'm being converned over nothing, I'll try to sit in a suitably equipped car and check it out.

Best regards,
Peter.

Finished work later than planned [8|], by the time I get to Donny it will be time to come home, so I'll catch you next time.

Hope you all had a good day
