Trackday event for novices.

I am organising a track event for the track day virgins/novices, primarily for the 968s but this could be extended to other cars of similar ability if numbers allow, this will be in the region of about 10 laps around Oulton Park with an option of extending that if you like it, and will take place within the next couple of months.

It will be at a moderate speed so that there will be no significant tyre wear, brake fade or wear and tear on the car. But it will be quick enough so that you can get the feel of the car at a reasonable speed. It goes without saying that cars must be in a roadworthy condition and capable of doing motorway speeds without breaking down.[:)]
I must emphasize that this is for novices only and will be in the form of a procession with an instructor at the front and one in the line every half a dozen cars or so, so that the correct driving line doesn't wander too much.
This means that the novices can get the experience of being on a track safely and learn a little about the correct lines etc. You would be expected to keep up with the line of cars and like wise would not be allowed to drop back and then fire off at 100mph to race around a corner. So if that is your thing, this is not for you.
The price would be less than £30 per car.
The first places will go to 968s but if there are enough we can open this up for more cars.
Just let me know who would be interested.

Thanks.

I would be very intersested, but have a 3.2 Carrera but have been desperate for something like this to come along. I would really appreciate a space. Thanks Dan.

Great event - thanks Stuart for arranging and co-ordinating this with TrackSport. Great to meet up with all the gang, and thanks to Rob for the quick laps in your '68.
Cheers
