Trackday seat advice wanted

Just got back from my first trackday in the 911 at Brands, what a great car these are!
I now want to fit a proper trackday seat and steering wheel (suede) and would value any advice from those who have trodden this path before me.
Had great fun being driven round by one of our suppliers, who casually mentioned he raced in several Porsche championships over the years. Maybe that was why we got black flagged for noise with him driving! H&S sounded fantastic mind.

Choice depends on what you want to spend.

For my 3.2 Club Sport I got Cobra Monaco S seats. They were the lowest price FIA approved seats I could find. Steel framed, so not as light as a composite seats (9kg vs 6 or thereabouts) & not brilliantly comfortable on long runs (used to give me a numb arse after about 90 minutes), but very good VFM. The standard (non electonically adjustable) Club Sport seats were about 18kg each BTW.

Little point having race seats without 6 point harnessed though. I bought Sabelt ones because I liked the black / yellow combo, but Schroth are also very poplular in 911's. I retained the inertia belts for road use.

As for the wheel, I got a 13" Momo Corse off ebay for about £50 + a Momo boss for about £40 from Demon Tweeks. The main things here are whether you want the wheel closer to you, relative to pedal position, if yes, go for a dished design and how much smaller to go. The 13" wheel made the already heavyish steering even more hefty & obscured the top of the guages so I had to rotate the speedo & tacho to see the important bits.
