Tracker fault?

Hi,
My 997 turbo is my 3rd Porsche so I'm not new to Porsche ownership, but this tracker thing has me puzzled. Perhaps someone a bit more techie than me can explain. Got in the car last week, everything seemed OK, seat moved, lights on the dash and....nothing. No start, no click from the starter motor. Excellent service from Porsche assistance who suggested trying a bump start, worked first go and they followed me to the local PC. Turns out a tracker fault had immobilised the car. Question? If it's immobilised, why did a bump start work? If that's all it takes to get the car going it's not much of an immobiliser is it.

Perhaps the tracker battery is 'kapput' & has drained your battery to the point of it won't turn car over but ok to bump start!!

I think the tracker battery will last a month if no main battery is connected & need replacing after approx 5 years....

Thanks for the thought but the Porsche assistance guy did a battery check and it was fine (12.5v).
