Tracking a 997

Got a question from a member who's not a forum user. What do you guys think ?

"I would like to take part in a couple of track days this year, but a little concerned about the rims and tyres on my 997 C2 as I am keen not to ruin the new ones.
I currently have the standard 18" wheels on the vehicle.
Please can you advise what I should be looking for and what would fit my vehicle.
Ideally I would like to purchase a replacement set of 4 wheels and tyres and swap over prior to driving to the circuit, but naturally not keen to buy a new set.
What are the chances of getting a second-hand set of 4 and at a price nearer to £600?
Most of the websites and dealers all refer to 996 and prior models and not sure if the 18" spec here would fit.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated."
